Have you ever walked by something you passed many times but for some reason, this time really noticed it? All of a sudden its appeal hits you in the face.
I was going to the pool at my apt complex, like I had many times this summer, and for the first time, noticed these beautiful flowers. I looked around and saw other containers filled with pretty plants. Such a gorgeous fuchsia color. I took a picture to remember them, and now make a point to see how they are growing each time I go to the pool.
Sometimes we get so stuck thinking about something, that we don't look around at the beauty that is in the present day. For one moment, a simple object can make us smile. We can be transported out of our thoughts and into enjoying God's handiwork.
So, next time you are downcast, preoccupied with your thoughts, stop, and look around. Be amazed by something you pass by every day. And enjoy.
